What's Good for The Soul...

Craving more presence, joy or meaning in your life?

Try these simple, soulful practices to help you reconnect with what matters:

  • Float in salt water or put your feet on the earth or in a creek or river.

  • Sit with the morning sun on your face, even for 5 minutes. Think of 3 things you're grateful for in life.

  • Enjoy a hot drink with both hands and no phone, even for 5 minutes.

  • Start the first 30 minutes of your day with no scrolling or technology.

  • Listen to music that makes you feel good, or make a new playlist and share with a friend or loved one.

  • Text someone just to say “I’m thinking of you”.

  • Do a random act of kindness - pay for a strangers coffee, offer a kind word, smile or help to someone who needs it.

  • Name 3 things you are grateful for, and really feel it in your body. Even on the difficult days, especially on the difficult days, you can always find something.

  • Create! Paint, draw, scribble, write, compose...whichever medium calls to you, just start experimenting, for the joy of it! If you can do so using what you already have, even better, get creative!

  • Hug a tree...yes, you heard me. Go and do it and thank us later.

  • Be kind to yourself and others. It takes very little to be kind, and don't forget to offer the same kindness you do to others, to yourself too. You're doing your best.

  • Head to the beach and find some shells or sea life. You will be surprised what you might find when you start looking. If not a beach, then a forest, park or anywhere in nature. See what animals and plant life you can find, the more you look the more you will find and be fascinated by mother nature.

  • Visit a museum and connect with your sense of wonder and curiosity.

  • Write someone a handwritten note, or even better a letter! And post it.

  • Smile at a stranger, they may just smile back.

Often, it’s the small things that reconnect us, to life, others and what’s good for the soul.

What's Good for The Soul...

Feeling disconnected from yourself, others or life?

Here are a few simple, soulful ways to gently reconnect.

  • Floating in salt water or soaking your feet

  • Sitting with the sun on your face, even for 5 minutes

  • Drinking a hot drink with both hands and no phone

  • Letting your bare feet touch the earth

  • Music that makes you feel (in a good way)

  • Lying on the floor doing absolutely nothing

  • Putting one hand on your heart and breathing until you feel yourself again

You don’t have to have it all figured out.

Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is simply return - to your breath, your body and the present moment.
